Divorce / Separation

Getting divorced is a tough enough emotional and financial affair.

This issue can impact both, men and women. I tend to see this issue far more with women than with men, therefore I will speak here more about women.

If you are reading this blog I assume you are a woman thinking or going through the process of divorce and you don’t know where to start and are seeking someone to help you about all overwhelming stuff going on.

You should know, it is not the end of the world and you can see this, as a new challenge and a new page in your life. You are about to take your life into your own hands and give yourself another chance to be full field and happy.

I already posted some articles on this topic on my website, which you can read to build a better picture of what you should do and embrace in your new life, with new rules and new habits.

If your husband was the only one who managed your family financial affairs, then you are probably frightened about your financial future. I promise that I can teach you all you need to know to easily take things over.

Here are some important things that you need to do for the beginning:

  1. Set up your bank account in your own name so that you can start your own savings plan;
  2. Create your budget applicable to your new circumstances;
  3. Change your spending habit and challenge yourself to spend less than you earn;
  4. Make a saving plan;
  5. Learn about investing – you need to speak with some professionals about what is best for you to invest in and how you can do this.

So, if you are considering divorce or separation, make yourself ready for that. Equip yourself with knowledge and start changing your habits. You will feel better and stronger for such a change of your life.

But, first thing you need to do, is to take care of yourself and ask for any available support or advice. Start by sorting out the immediate things, like having your own bank account, then work your way up to sort out the longer-term money issues.

If you would like someone to take you by the hand and show you how to deal with all of financial issues – you have come to the right place (see the contact page on my website).
